Our in-country support system has been incredible. While the community members are helping by being the labor force on site, the students from ULK Polytechnic Institute are helping bridge the communication gap between the community and EWB team. Both our team members, Mira and Patrick have found them enthusiastic and eager to learn as well as extremely helpful with transfer of technical knowledge between EWB members and the community.

HOW OLD ARE YOU AND WHERE DO YOU LIVE?
I am 20 years old and I live with my parents. My father Alfred is the labor foreman and has been working along with rest of the community members to organize the work and laborers on site every day.
WHAT IS YOUR INVOLVEMENT WITH THE EWB PROJECT?
Right now I am working as a laborer at the EWB construction site alongside my father while I wait for results from secondary school. Once I get my results back, I will be able to make the decision of going to university or getting a job. I hope that my results are good, and I can go on to university.
WHAT ARE YOUR WORKING HOURS?
We all are here working 7am to 5pm every day.
HOW HAS EWB INVOLVEMENT BEEN IMPACTFUL?
My father is a member of Goodneigbors cooperative and I am helping out as I believe that the cooperative is prospering little by little and we will be successful in building the storage house by working together. EWB members have been pivotal in Goodneighbors success by providing their technical support.
ANYTHING TO SAY TO THE AMERICAN AUDIENCE?
I send my greetings to you all and want to say that Rwanda is a fine country and worth visiting.
